Saint Alla
Alla Gotfskaya the queen of the Gothes, embraced the Christian religion and was persecuted for her faith in the 14th century. Although given the opportunity to save her life by making sacrifices to pagan idols, Saint Alla did not renounce her faith in God. She was burned alive inside a church along with 300 other Christians, of whom only 26 names are known. Because of her faith in Christ and her agonizing death, Saint Alla was canonized by the Orthodox Church in approximately 375 A.D.
