Saint Lioumpov
Saint Lioumpov or Agapi is the youngest daughter of Saint Sophia. She lived during the reign of Hadrian (117 – 138 A.D.) and martyred for her faith together with her sisters. Being the child of a noble family she was nurtured under the principles of Christianity by her mother Sophia. Hadrian, in order to force her mother to renounce Christianity, submitted her two sisters, Pisti and Elpida as well as the nine-year old Agapi to horrible torture. Despite being so young, Saint Lioumpov did not fear the martyrdom and died with dignity. Her memory is celebrated along with that of her sisters on September 17.
