Saint Ludmila
She was born in 856 A.D. to pagan parents in the Czechia. At the age of 16 she married Borivoia, the Emperor of the Czechs. They both converted to Christianity when Cyril and Methodius, the two Missionaries of the Slaves visited Czechia. They built churches and called on priests to teach people the word of God. After the death of Borivoia, she continued his work and raised their four children, three boys and a daughter. When her grandson ascended the throne, his bride Dragomira restored idolatry and ordered the death of Ludmila, by hanging in 917 A.D. at the age of 62.
