The Resurrection

The icon of the Resurrection depicts the peak of the Holy Week with Christ Resurrected in the centre, His halo inscribing the phrase "O On" the "Extant" He who gives eternal life. Light emanates from His whole body and is spread everywhere. He holds Adam with His hand to save them from their fall caused by their disobedience to God’s commandment. By His side, the prophets that preached His coming, the Old Testament prophets including John the Baptist, as well as the Patriarchs and all those that lived virtuously.

The scenic of the Resurrection with the symmetrical and high rocky mounts, the tomb implying that death was defeated overwhelmingly, the broken pieces of wood, all designate the end of the decay, the end of sorrow and the victory of God.
