Triptych of seriograph icons crafted in canvas on wood. On the moving leaves of the triptych, the Archangel Michael and Archangel Gabriel are depicted at the right and left side, with the same brushwork as the central icon.
Virgin Mary of Vladimir
It is one of the most important and oldest relics of Christendom. Painted in Constantinople in the twelfth century (1131), it was sent as a gift to the Duke of Kiev. In 1395, during the invasion of Tamerlane, it was transferred to Moscow where it is currently kept at the Tretjakov Gallery. It is considered the patroness of Russia.
